Hi, I'm LaToya-Nickole

I’m an author, educator, artist, entrepreneur, death doula, and multidisciplinary creator who believes I don’t have to choose just one way to leave my mark on the world. I write and illustrate books, create educational tools for homeschool families, design furniture and pieces for the home, make art, build brands, and co-host This Ain’t That, where we have the conversations too many people are afraid to have. As a death doula, I also hold space for individuals and families navigating one of life’s most sacred transitions, bringing compassion, dignity, presence, and intention to conversations about death, grief, and legacy.At my core, I’m a builder, a creative, and a storyteller. I create from curiosity, culture, spirituality, lived experience, and an unapologetic commitment to thinking beyond what I was taught to accept. Whether I’m creating a book, designing a piece for someone’s home, teaching a child, holding space at the end of a life, or turning lived experience into a conversation that needs to be heard, I want what I create to mean something.I believe we are allowed to question the rules we inherited, redefine what success and purpose look like for ourselves, and create the things we once searched for but couldn’t find. I’m not interested in fitting neatly into a box.
